These days, the smartphone market has grouped itself into two major camps – Apple and Android. The fight between these two giants was always fierce and fans of both platforms had a fair share of things to brag about. All the way through, Samsung, the Korean tech giant with stakes in any market ranging from kettles to tanks slowly builds its way as the prime representative of all good things Android has to offer and, for all intents and purposes, became the face of the platform.
If you are an Apple fan, this sounds like the best reason to stay away. However, we argue that maybe it’s time for a change. Let’s see why you should jump on the Samsung bandwagon.
Excellent, streamlined performance
Let’s move this thing off the table first. One of the best things people could say about Apple devices is that they were perfectly optimized for the Apple-made hardware they ran on. Well, Android and hardware manufacturers have made leaps and bounds in terms of optimization and creating a streamlined user experience. The new flagship Samsung devices like S22 and S22 Ultra easily outpace Apple’s phones in almost all relevant areas while offering to retain the customization options Android is most famous for.
One UI is a beast
If you are unfamiliar with the name One UI is an Android overlay or the customized Android version Samsung uses for its devices. And what to say, this added level of optimizations makes Android work on Samsung phones even better. The One UI Android also offers a great, almost developer-like level of customization, buttery-smooth performance, intuitive controls, a rich file management system, and great multitasking. This puts One UI not only at the top of the Android market but the smartphone market in general.
Monstrous, reliable performance
Unlike some other manufacturers aiming for the lowest possible prices, Samsung always did its best to truly offer the biggest bang for the buck. If we take a look at the average latest-gen Samsung Galaxy Phones – digiDirect or some other store may serve as a good reference – we will see that the Korean giant has a working relationship with other monsters like Exynos and Qualcomm that are both known for putting out reliable and powerful hardware. This translates to robust and reliable performance.

Options, options, options
This is one of the greatest advantages Android phones always had over Apple devices. You don’t like the keyboard? You can easily readjust the existing one or download an entirely new one. Tired of the same old camera options? You can easily get a new camera app. Samsung, however, adds one additional layer to this story. On top of the armada of available Android apps, Samsung also offers a great selection of top-tier first-party apps that gives you even more deep settings to play with.
Samsung’s stellar eco-system
The wide selection of first-party Samsung apps and One UI are not the only things that make the use of Samsung devices so special. As we stated earlier, Samsung is a tech behemoth that scores at least some level of presence in all relevant tech corners. All these devices and services make one consistent, and comprehensive eco-system that is a true joy to use. Ranging from wearables to TVs, laptops, My Files, and Samsung Health, the world of Samsung services is rich, deep, and very hard to ignore.
Charging and peripherals
Essentially, Samsung phones are well known for their fast charging speeds. Top-tier flagship devices usually take no more than one hour to charge from zero to 100%. For comparison, Apple devices usually take 50% more time. Also, the USB Type-C cables are so much easier to find than Apple’s branded Lightning cables. The same can be said about all other Type-C-related tools and components. Samsung offers a great range of in-house tools and peripherals but doesn’t force you to use any of them.
Cutting-edge security
Last but not least, we would like to point out that Android was always seen as a system that doesn’t really offer a stellar level of security or protection against external threats. While things in this regard are definitely, as of lately, moving in the right direction, Samsung decided to cut the waiting and fill in the gaps itself. This added level of security comes in the form of Samsung Knox – a comprehensive set of security features that protects and encrypts Samsung devices both on the hardware and software levels.
We hope the things we have covered above will give you something to think about when the time comes to get yourself a new smartphone device. In this day and age, Samsung devices present the very top of the Android market and thus instantly make an excellent purchase option. The die-hard Apple fans may easily shrug this fact off but the list of things the Apple does better these days is melting away with each passing day. The smartphone market has never been more leveled and competitive.
